My name is Rachel Gordon and I’m running for Greenfield City Council in Precinct 2
I am passionate about local policymaking and community-building, and I think Greenfield’s best days are ahead of us. I believe we can build a school system in which teachers and families feel consistently valued and supported. I believe Greenfield can be both attractive and affordable. I believe we need to invest in protecting the safety and dignity of all residents and visitors. I believe we can and must confront climate, infrastructure, and demographic challenges creatively and collaboratively. I believe we can do all of this most effectively when we work together and listen to one another.
Greenfield is a vibrant community with a bright future. I am committed to serving the residents of Precinct 2 and working towards making Greenfield an even better place for all of us to live. Together we can create an affordable, sustainable, and inclusive city that we can all be proud of.

Affordability
I believe Greenfield can be both attractive and affordable. We must expand the tax base, make sure property assessment is consistent and fair, and advocate for the state investment we need and deserve.

Great schools
We can and must build a school system in which teachers and families feel valued and supported without increasing the burden on residential taxpayers.

Housing
Too many in our community do not have safe and accessible housing. We need more housing for families and seniors, and housing accessible to people of all incomes and abilities.

Planning for the future
Climate, infrastructure, and demographic challenges are already here. We can and must confront these challenges creatively and collaboratively.
